Submission

I went camping this week.

I remember at the beginning I was really abrasive to the idea.

I identify as a city girl (get it, city) which hence the name, but I found the most profound stillness and peace there.

We went to the Malibu Creek State Park in Callabasas and wow Kim Kardashian had an amazing reason to build a house there.

It’s one of the most beauiful places I’ve been to.

High mountains and Valleys, the beautiful ocean just 15 minutes away. It’s porn for nature connectors.

I found myself, especially

once I realized I wouldn’t have my

phone or anything out there…

That I could collapse fully into my present moment.

The trees I felt deeply

connected to, and I felt so far away from the world. I got

to spend time with my best friend too so It was a beautiful reconnection…

I felt whole there, submitting to the presence. Because with the peace was also the fear of the wild animals messing with our food, stalked by mountain lions.

It was me surrendering to the laws of nature, the universal expression through our sacred planet.

With that surrenrer to all possibilities…came a holy connection.
